CHANCEL CHOIR – FUMC Adult Choir. under the direction of Kathy Lyon, meets each Wednesday at 6 p.m. for a one-hour rehearsal in the choir room, located on the second floor of the West Wing. This choir works weekly to prepare anthems for the 11:00 a.m. traditional Sunday service. The music selections are voiced for the choir and are typically considered traditional texts with a blended contemporary composition. This choir presents an annual Christmas Cantata in December. If you are a great singer, or just enjoy making a joyful noise unto the Lord, Chancel Choir welcomes your participation!
BELLS OF HOPE – FUMC Adult Handbell Choir, under the direction of Kathy Lyon, meets each Wednesday at 7 p.m. for a one-hour rehearsal in the church sanctuary. The handbell music is color-coded and counted for an easy reading experience. If you are an accomplished musician or simply a music enthusiast, Bells of Hope will be a great fit for you. This group plays in the traditional service at various times during the fall and spring seasons, with special attention given to the Lent and Advent seasons.
PRAISE BAND – coordinated by Haley Greer, the FUMC Praise Band meets each Wednesday at 7:00 p.m. for rehearsal in the Family Life Center. The volunteer band leads our Contemporary Service each Sunday.
