|Senior Pastor – Rev. Dr. Hammett N. Evans
A third-generation Methodist pastor, Rev. Hammett Evans grew up in Little Rock, Pine Bluff, Dumas, and Jonesboro, Arkansas, graduating from Jonesboro High School in 1988. He earned a B.A. from Hendrix College in 1992, an M.Div from Candler School of Theology at Emory University in Atlanta, Georgia in 2002, and a Doctor of Ministry from Candler in 2020.
Rev. Evans entered the United Methodist ministry in 1990 and was ordained in 2005. He has pastored churches in Quitman, Damascus, Enders, Fordyce, and Bryant Arkansas; Mount Zion, Georgia, and the Wymondham-Attleborough-Watton Circuit in Norfolk, England. Prior to seminary, he served as youth minister in Maumelle and Batesville and as activities and choir director in Crossett, Arkansas. Rev. Evans was appointed to FUMC Monticello in July of 2018. He will serve as a delegate to the South Central Jurisdictional Conference in 2020.
Rev. Evans married Michelle Pounds in 2002. A native of Hamburg, Arkansas, Michelle works as a consultant for ASU Childhood Services. Together they enjoy traveling, spending time with their family, music, movies and TV, as well as outdoors-ey stuff that doesn’t require a tent.
|Associate Pastor and Youth Minister – Rev. Lori Fallon
Rev. Lori Fallon is the Associate Pastor and Youth Minister at First United Methodist Church in Monticello, AR. She has been in full-time youth ministry at FUMC, Monticello, since 2005. In 2017, Lori received her local pastor license and was appointed to FUMC, Monticello, as the associate pastor. She worked as a Certified Nuclear Medicine Technologist for 8 years in both small and large hospitals before being led to youth ministry. She grew up in Jena, a small town in central Louisiana, and graduated high school in 1992. After graduation, she went to Louisiana Tech University and graduated magna cum laude with her BGS in General Studies. After graduation at Louisiana Tech University, she moved to Little Rock and was accepted into the Nuclear Medicine Technology program and received her BS in Nuclear Medicine Technology from UAMS.
Lori has been married to her college sweetheart Greg Fallon since 1996 and they are the proud parents of two teenage daughters, Sydney and Mallory. In her free time she loves to spend time with her family and friends, travel domestically and abroad, read books, watch movies, cook and play games.
